My transmission is acting up, Do I need a new one?
Not at all, in many cases an external problem can be repaired inexpensively and efficiently. When on the phone with
our customers, they give us feedback onwhat they are experiencing and sometimes what they tell us is indicative that the concern can be fixed without any major repairs.

I have a "Check Engine" light on. Does this mean I have a transmission problem?
Not necessarily, however a 'check engine' light may indicate a transmission problem. We can access the transmission control module (TCM) to see if any transmission codes are stored in the memory or are pending as this will indicate a transmission problem.

How to tell If my Transmission is failing?
4 MAJOR signs to look for which may indicate transmission failure and needing repair.
1. Lack of response - you may notice that when shifting into drive or park there is a delay before you feel the gear engage. This is usually an indicator of a transmission problem.
2. Hearing of Sounds - whining, clunking or humming being produced while driving are not good signs. These sounds will vary between different make and models but they are obvious warning sounds that you transmission is seeking help!
3. Leaking/Dripping or Low on Transmission Fluid is also a warning sign. (ATF) Automatic Transmission Fluid is the life-blood of a transmission. This fluid lubricates, cleans and conditions the seals, while acting as a hydraulic fluid. Low levels of fluids will cause the engine to seize up and stop working completely. Always keep an eye on your transmission fluid always!
4. Burnt Odor - over heating of transmission fluid is one of the causes of a burning smell, the causes include driving on low fluid level or using the incorrect fluid specified by the cars manufacturer for optimal performance.

I have a manual transmission, do you work on these types?
YES! We know those very well, we repair and service these types of transmissions. We have been working on manual / standard transmission for over 30 years. In the earlier days, standard transmissions were more prevalent, so we are experts in repairing, installing and rebuilding manual transmissions for cars and trucks. Our transmission diagnosis may find your problem is clutch or a clutch related component.

How much will a transmission repair cost me?
You will not pay for repairs you don't need. Not every transmission problem needs a major complete rebuild. When you do need a complete rebuild transmission our ASE certified technician will identify the parts that need to be replaced and that is what you will be charged for. There is no flat rate pricing or unnecessary transmission exchanging of parts at our service center. Why pay for a whole new transmission when you may only need an inexpensive parts to get you back on the road. We do offer Free Towing and courier service from and to our shop with in a reasonable distance.
